
The goal of this move is to ensure seamless and speedy exit from the rapid rail stations. The RRTS is expected to reduce the current three to four-hour road travel time between Delhi and Meerut to around 55 minutes. The project is estimated to serve roughly 800,000 passengers per day and is planned to begin operations for commuters by March 2025. The 17 km priority stretch in Ghaziabad is planned to begin operations by March 2023, having five stations at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad City, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot.
