RINA Consulting bags BMRCL’s metro rail contract - NBM Media Pvt. Ltd.

Italy-based RINA SpA's Indian subsidiary, RINA Consulting, has been awarded the contract for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the 37-km long Metro line connecting Sarjapur and Hebbal via Agara, Koramanagala and Dairy Circle for Metro Phase 3 in Bangalore. It is likely to be prepared within eight months. While the Hebbal-Koramangala stretch will be underground, the remaining will be elevated.

The DPR will provide details like alignment, underground and elevated sections, number of stations and locations, depot, rolling stock requirement, projected ridership, socio-environmental impact and estimated cost of the project. The route, which cuts through the city’s core areas, is projected to be completed by 2027- 2028.
