Rajasthan approves ₹204.81-cr for Jaipur metro expansion - NBM Media Pvt. Ltd.

The Rajasthan government has offered ₹204.81 crore for the expansion of Jaipur Metro, which runs from Badi Chaupar to transport Nagar. This is India’s sixth metro rail system after Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. Jaipur metro was initially constructed between 2010 and 2014 when most of the development work on the 9.63 km length was carried out on an elevated track running from Mansarovar down to Chandpole Bazaar.

The financial approval is for the construction of the Mansarovar to Ajmer Road intersection Phase-1D. The development works will be carried out in two phases whereby the first phase will include the “Pink Line” that connects Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar. The second phase on the other hand will involve the construction of “Orange Line”. The project aims to make Jaipur metro more accessible to people to serve as a total transport and road transformation.
