MPMRC speeds up priority corridor of Bhopal Metro
The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is accelerating the construction work on the priority corridor of the Bhopal Metro project, which spans 4 km. The corporation is making every effort to ensure that the remaining works under various heads are completed within the stipulated timelines. The laying of railway tracks is scheduled to begin shortly, while the interior works of metro stations are already underway round the clock. Additionally, the work of laying wire cables and other important construction activities is progressing at a fast pace.
The pier work, which covers the ground level to the concourse level of all eight metro stations, is currently in full swing. However, officials have yet to find a suitable location for the demo model of the metro rail. Although they have surveyed three to four sites, the final site is likely to be selected soon. The state government is keeping a close eye on the progress of the metro project as it wants to introduce the metro in the state capital as soon as possible.
