MPMRC gets approval for RoB to connect Habibganj with AIIMS
Indian Railways has recently given in-principle approval to Bhopal metro for the construction of RoB to connect Habibganj with AIIMS Bhopal, said Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation in a statement. The construction work is currently on full swing on the Bhopal Metro Line-2 which will connect Subhash Nagar Depot to Habibganj, Alkapuri bus stand and AIIMS Bhopal. The RoB in question has been proposed on one of the busiest rail routes of the railways. It would be a distance of 65 metres but stopping a main railway route comes with multiple riders. Overall progress of the about 4.5 km trail run track is expected to meet the September deadline. Officials are upbeat on completion of track and five metro stations in the next two months. The site Stud Farm, Arera Hills is marked as the main depot for Bhopal metro rail. Track turning radius is limited to 100 metre for Metro while Karond Square is the main depot and the launch pad for the next phase of development of the project in the state capital.
