
Maha-Metro had released a tender notice, informing contractors about bids that will soon be floated for the execution of Phase-2. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Phase-2 was approved by the Public Investment Board (PIB) in March this year. It comprises 1.2 km length at grade with two stations and 42.6 km elevation with 30 stations and the interchange station will remain at Sitabuldi. The Kanhan route will pass through Kamptee thereby making it easy for the residents to commute to Nagpur. In addition, it would also benefit the residents of Butibori, Hingna and Kapsi, which are fast-developing areas and known industrial estate and transport hubs.
