KMRL invites EoI for Bliss City on PPP model - NBM Media Pvt. Ltd.

Accelerating the process of setting up Bliss City, Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) has invited expression of interest (EoI) for the mega venture coming up in Kakkanad area of the city. KMRL has planned to implement the project through public private partnership (PPP) basis on Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) model.

The project comprises IT parks, medical city, entertainment hub, educational hubs with foreign university centres on an area of 31.43 acres at Kunnumpuram in Kakkanad. Out of the total area, 17.43 acres have already been allotted to KMRL and the government has decided to allot the remaining 14 acres shortly. The project is aimed at generating an alternate source of revenue for KMRL. The selected private investor will develop the project on DBFOT basis and transfer to KMRL after 30 years and Kochi Metro is eyeing an investment of ₹8,000 crore to ₹9,000 crore by reputed players from across the globe in the Bliss City.
