The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been chosen to provide international consultancy services for the construction of the first phase of the Bahrain Metro project. The DMRC is currently bidding for this project, which will involve the construction of a 30-kilometer network with 20 stations. To aid in the project, the DMRC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BEML, which will be responsible for manufacturing and supplying rolling stock.
The Delhi Metro will provide expertise in project development, budgeting, and facilitating the development of contractual obligations for the offshore project.
Additionally, the DMRC is bidding for other international metro projects, such as Alexandria in Egypt, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, and Mauritius. Currently, the DMRC is acting as a consultant for the construction of the Dhaka Metro in Bangladesh.
