Delhi Metro Phase IV Scaling Up with Additional 65km Expansion

The 12.3km stretch from Majlis Park to Maujpur (Pink Line) is projected for completion by March 2025, while the Janakpuri West to RK Ashram (Magenta Line) and Aerocity to Tughlakabad (Silver Line) sections are targeted for March 2026. However, DMRC aims to commence operations on a 2km underground section from Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension by July this year.
Krishna Park Extension, the sole station on this section, is in its final stages of construction. Tunnelling work has been completed on both ends, and track-laying is underway.
Overall, more than 45% of civil work has been finished across the three corridors, with construction progressing steadily despite initial pandemic-related challenges.
Approximately 49% of civil work is completed on the Magenta Line extension from Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg. This extension will connect with the existing Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden corridor, spanning 29.2km.
Similarly, over 50% of work is done on the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor, with finishing and roof-laying ongoing at several stations. Superstructure work is progressing on the Yamuna bridge.
Once completed, the 12.3km Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor will extend the Pink Line to Shiv Vihar, making it the longest line in DMRC's network at 59.2km.
