Komatsu to acquire German equipment manufacturer GHH Group

Komatsu has announced that it will acquire GHH Group, a German manufacturer of underground mining and tunnelling equipment. GHH offers a range of loaders and articulated dump trucks for use in mass mining, narrow vein, and low-profile mining operations, as well as aftermarket parts and service support. The acquisition will allow Komatsu to expand its underground mining equipment offerings and strengthen production and service capabilities in key markets in Europe, South Africa, India, and Chile.

Komatsu plans to support business as usual following the acquisition and will work with the combined team to expand its offering for underground mining equipment and increase customer access to products in new territories. The official closing of the acquisition is expected in the first half of 2023.
