The Union Power Ministry has allocated ₹13,000 crore to Madhya Pradesh to build and upgrade power infrastructure. The state will need funds to carry out reforms in the energy sector, which are praiseworthy and innovative in reducing energy losses. A roadmap has been prepared to make Madhya Pradesh a leading state in solar power generation. The world heritage site of Sanchi will be developed as a "totally green city", where all electricity requirements will be met with solar power and will draw the attention of the world. There was no power shortage in the state as it focused on generating green energy and in comparison, the power management is exemplary as compared to other states.
