The steel bridge will use cable-based technology and will be illuminated. It will run from Goregaon's Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to the junction of BEST Colony Road and Maulana Ziauddin Bukhari Road. Apart from reducing the traveling time by half, it will also help to reduce traffic congestion on the Western Express Highway and the New Link Road, as well as improve connectivity in Oshiwara, Jogeshwari, and Andheri East. Previously, a tender was issued for the bridge's construction, but now the authorities decided to construct it by using stainless steel to cut maintenance costs drastically. The BMC will soon appoint a consultant for the project and start the procedures for obtaining approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority and the Environment Department (MCZMA).
