The Transport Ministry has laid the foundation stone for four National Highway projects worth ₹3,237 crore. These include three projects in Bikaner and one in Nagaur districts. The ministry will build a 24,000-km road and highway network across the state under the first phase of Bharatmala program. To top it all, the ministry has decided to construct 60,000-km long highways under Bharatmala in tribal, backward and border areas of the state. Foundation stones were also laid for two projects: the National Highway from Raisinghnagar to Poogal and Khajuwala to Poogal and also Poogal to Naukha-Bap sections of NH-911. The minister also inaugurated a 212-km road project of Salasar-Nagaur section of NH-65 at an investment of Rs.637 crore.
