Railway injects ₹21,000 cr in Jharkhand’s rail network

    In an attempt to strengthen rail network in Jharkhand, Indian Railways has increased its investment in the state and has already cleared ₹21,000 crore for starting various rail projects in the mineral rich state, Union railway minister said, elaborating that the impact of the increased investment is now evident in the State and the work on undergoing projects has taken pace. In fact, a large number of projects started during the regime of former PM AB Vajpayee will be completed soon and the people of the State will be immensely benefitted with this. Railway will also start work on alternative route to Dhanbad-Chandrapura Rail line and will complete Ranchi-Koderma rail line at the earliest. The state’s CM said that railway must extend facilities to the state matching the revenue it gives to the rail sector and on the other had the state administration is continuously reviewing issues including forest clearance and that Railway Ministry also supports the state in the same manner.
