NHAI clears 338-km ring road in Telangana

    The Central government has recently given its nod to the Regional Ring Road with the approval of its alignment prepared by the state government, state minister for Roads & Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao, said, revealing that he recently chaired a review meeting with officials of the National Highways Authority of India and also from other State departments when the Centre approved the 338 km Regional Ring Road that beginning from Sangareddy and completes the circuit in the same town. Along the way, the proposed road will provide connectivity to Narsapur, Toopran, Gajwel, Jagdevepur, Bhongir and Choutuppal. A portion of proposed portion of the road that has been approved by the Central agencies has been designated as National Highway 161AA and that the construction work of the road will be handed over to NHAI to start work as quickly as possible
