India launches 1,258-km Indo-Nepal road corridor

    In order to provide uninterrupted road transport facilities between the two neighboring countries, India has recently launched a 1,258 km long road passing through Nepali soil along the Tanakpur Dam in Kanchanpur district. Central PWD in India started the road project whereby technicians are currently working at a site near Bhramhadev Bazaar in Bhimdatta Municipality-9, engineer of the project, CP Sharma, said, claiming that the project will go a long way in improving economic socio conditions of the masses residing along the road corridor and also admitted that the road was being constructed 150 metres inside the Nepali territory as India is working as per the high-level agreement signed between the two countries
