    CGRDC takes up Rs.2,636 cr highway projects

    In a bid to build world-class road network across the state, Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation (CGRDC) has launched the process of constructing 26 roads at a cost of Rs.2,636 crore, PWD Minister Rajesh Munat said that the total length of the roads is stretching across 767 km and the construction work of five roads will be completed by the end of this fiscal and 12 others will be constructed by June 2018. On the other hand, the work for widening National Highways in Chhattisgarh is scheduled to be completed by June 2019. The process of land acquisition for widening of the National Highways and finalization of the alignment of the bypasses is a continuous process and are at different stages of implementation Similarly, a sum of Rs.1,897 crore have been allocated for the construction of National Highways in the recent past under National Highway and National Highway Development Program – IV, he added.
