The state government in Haryana has recently announced seven new rail projects including Yamunanagar-Chandigarh via Naraingarh and Sadhaura, Delhi- Sohna-Nuh-Ferozpur Zhirka-Alwar, Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar-Charkhi Dadri, Jind-Hisar, Bhiwani-Loharu, Karnal-Yamunanagar and railway siding project in Manesar for Maruti Udyog. In this connection, the state government has collaborated with railway and constituted Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC) to further develop rail infrastructure in the state, the chief minister said. The corporation would prepare feasibility report of new railway lines very shortly. Feasibility report on all these projects, having a total length of 439 km, would be prepared at a cost of Rs.20 crore and subsequently the rail projects would be taken up on war footing.
