BBMP second-longest flyover on the Koramangala
The construction work on BBMP's second-longest flyover on the Koramangala 100 ft road between Kendriya Sadan Junction and Ejipura Main Road-Inner Ring Road junction has been fast tracked with the soil testing of the stretch is currently underway. The project is next to only the Balagangadharanatha Swami Flyover on Mysore Road running for a distance of 2.4 km entailing an investment of Rs 203 crore. The project, which is funded under the CM's City Development Plan, has been awarded to Simplex Infrastructure Private Limited. The soil testing at the depth of 20 metres will be completed at Kendriya Sadana and Ejipura Main Road with 62 pillars, the soil testing will also be done at four spots for each pillar, said the BBMP Chief Engineer for Road and Infrastructure (Planning), K T Nagaraj, adding that the pillars will be built using pre-casting technology where the parts will be cast and assembled at the spot. He said there will be four ramps towards Domlur (118.62 meters), Hosur Road (192.46 meters), Madiwala (169.21 meters) and a 164.74-metre ramp from Hosur Road to the flyover near Kendriya Sadan. The flyover is the east-west corridor of the area and will help ease traffic congestion on the three prime junctions between Ejipura and Kendriya Sadan and four other small junctions.
