    The state water resources wing in a recent move has planned to initiate construction work on long-pending Parwan Gravity Dam project at an investment of Rs. 672.99 crore and also the Dholpur Lift Irrigation Project and Isarda Dam entailing a staggering investment worth Rs 781.97 crore. The first project is proposed to provide irrigation benefits to an area of 1,31,400 hectares covering 313 villages and cater to drinking water demands of 820 villages of Jhalawar, Baran and Kota districts, the concerned state minister Rampratap Singh said, adding that the Dholpur Lift Irrigation Project is a lift irrigation scheme wherein water from Chambal river is to be lifted by 60.5 metres for providing irrigation facilities. On completion, it will provide irrigation facilities in 35,7850 hectares of land in 234 villages and the foundation stones for these projects will be laid by the state chief minister very shortly.
