Karnataka clears Rs. 2,275-cr infra projects

    The state government in Karnataka has recently cleared infrastructure projects worth Rs. 2,275 crore and land for the projects would be provided by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The projects included the construction of Rs. 525-crore affordable housing project by Universal Builders and in addition, the government has also approved the building of a Technology Innovation International Park on 100 acres at an investment worth Rs. 740 crore. These apart, Rs. 1,010 crore infra facilities would be set up for the Coast Guard Training Centre (ICGTC) on 160 acres Baikampady, Dakshina and Kannada districts respectively. Besides, KIADB also cleared 36 acres of land for the Seattle-based commercial aircraft maker Boeing, which has planned to set up Rs.1,152 crore engineering and technology facility and also the creation of the allied infrastructure for the plant in question, said official sources.
