    Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA)
In order to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic in the metropolitan city, the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) has recently floated the tender for the construction of the Dhakuria to Jadavpur Sulekha crossing flyover entailing an investment of Rs.248 crore. The flyover proposal was mooted by KMDA earlier this year and was subsequently approved by the state cabinet pacing the way for the construction of the project. The 1.6 km long flyover will be a four lane elevated corridor that will move along Raja SC Mullick after starting from Dhakuria where the Dhakuria Bridge ends and crossing over Jadavpur police station and Jadavpur bus stand before ending at Sulekha crossing. The project, which is slated to be competed in the next 24 months, will go a long way to smoothen the movement of traffic on the road stretch.
