The Rajasthan government is set to create a record of sorts when it announces 9,500 road projects with a length of 3,000 km including national highways, state roads and rural roads under PMGSY. According to sources, 109 projects are being funded by the road transport ministry and NHAI, which are primarily widening of highways, improvement and construction of state roads. The upcoming projects are in the category of rural connectivity programs of Centre and the state government such as PM Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), Rajasthan Road Sector Modernisation Project (RRSMP), Gramin Gaurav Path and 31 other projects, which are on build operate and transfer (BOT) model.
