    Meghalaya unveils new road network
    The proposal for inking the agreement between National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), PWD Meghalaya and its consultant for constructing a two-lane road in the state has been put forward, sources said adding that the bid for civil work was invited with bid due date on June 28 this year and that the approval of modified cost estimate for the process has been sent to the ministry and administrative approval is awaited. The 43.06 km road is to be taken up at a cost of Rs.365.66 crore, including land acquisition. Chaitanaya Projects Consulting is the contractor of the project. About the upgrade of the Wahkaji-Phlangdiloin-Ranikor and Domiasiat– Mawthabah road into two lanes, final detailed project report (DPR) was submitted by the consultant to the state PWD last year, they added.
