According to sources, the package-II of the four-laning work on Mangaluru - Bengaluru National Highway between Hassan - BC Road, is all set to start shortly. The package-II includes four laning of 65 kms of road stretch on NH 75 between Addahole near Gundya on Shiradi Ghat and Bantwal Cross in Dakshina Kannada district, NHAI, special land acquisition officer G N Manjunath said that the work will be started by L&T in the next three months. While the four-laning work requires 270.65 hectares of additional land, the NHAI has already taken possession of 251.54 hectares till May 2017. Only 15.02 hectares of land is yet to be acquired, he added that within three months of land acquisition process will be complete. The land acquisition process is yet to be completed at Kalladka, Panemangaluru and Narikombu, he added.
