BSRDCL launches elevated NH project

    Digha AIIMS Elevated Highway Project
    In order to steer clear the 11.9km long Digha-AIIMS elevated highway project, the Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDCL) will soon begin construction work of three small bridges in western Patna. The work on the stretch to the tune of 50% has been completed and permission recently given by the ministry of railways to also construct a bridge over the Rupaspur railway over bridge and another 1km long railway over bridge (ROB) at Khagaul as part of the elevated highway. In addition, another small bridge is proposed near the Digha police station for connecting the elevated highway with the road deck of Digha- Sonpeur rail-cum-road bridge. Of the 683 peers (pillars) in the elevated highway, 600 and odd have been constructed. The construction work of the four-lane semi-elevated road from AIIMS-Patna (on NH 98) to Digha on the Ganga driveway is a first-of-its-kind project in Patna, the Digha-AIIMS semi-elevated road will connect to the road deck of Digha-Sonepur rail-cum-road bridge on the north-western corner of Patna.
