DMRC gets ‘go-ahead’ for Rs. 2,000-cr project

    DMRC Project
Providing uninterrupted transport facility to the metro users of the national capital, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is all set to take up the proposed Dwarka-Gurgaon Metro line starting from Dwarka Sector 21 to IFFCO Chowk in Gurgaon, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar said, revealing that the state government has given the final nod to the project. The proposed Metro link has been delayed time and again as the detailed project reports were rejected thrice by the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation, citing non-viability of the project. Initially there were three proposals for the extension of metro rail in the Millennium City and the department concerned was to decide whether the metro extension work would be implemented through DMRC or private metro company. But now it has been finalised that DMRC will take up the project covering route originating from Dwarka sector 21 and crisscrossing Palam Vihar, Kapashera, Udyog Vihar, IFFCO Chowk, the CM added.
