AP gets Rs. 2,335.68-cr new railway line

    With completion of electrification work on the second railway line on the busy Vizianagaram-Titlagarh route is currently going on war-footing and the new approval by the Centre to lay the third line with an investment of Rs. 2,335.68-cr to connect port will ensure faster evacuation of cargo at Visakhapatnam port Andhra Pradesh. As a matter of fact, the decision to take up the third line on the Vizianagaram-Titlagarh route will help Visakhapatnam Port in every aspect, Chairman, M.T. Krishna Babu, said adding that the second line is not yet fully electrified forcing the users of Visakhapatnam and Gangavaram Ports to route their cargo via Nagpur paying more towards freight cost, he added.
