    NMC plans six concrete road projects

    The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has planned to construct six more cement roads in city under phase II of cement roads building initiative of the local body. The total cost of the roads is Rs. 25-cr and that RPS Infraprojects has bagged the tender for the first two roads at 12% below the estimate, which included Untkhana road to Medical Square to Ashok Square and Ridge Road to Ambedkar Statue (Rameshwari Road). The cost of this work is Rs 10.23-cr and that the same infra builder has also bagged the tender for the remaining four roads at 13% below the estimated cost. The cost of this work is 14.74-cr including the Sanjuba High School to Mahakalkar Hall, Mahakalkar Hall to Gajanan School T-point, Siddheshwar Hall to Rajkamal Square and Ayodhya Nagar to Basaweshwar Statue. NMC is constructing a large number of cement roads in two phases entailing a staggering investment worth Rs 447cr.
