Phase-II of Mumbai-Goa NH on anvil

    Close on the heels of completing the four-laning of Zarap to Patradevi Section NHAI has initiated work on the four laning of Indapur to Zarap Section, which has been divided in 10 packages of which 3 packages covering length of 131 kms have been awarded on Hybrid Annuity Mode and bids for one package covering a length of 34.450kms have been invited. For remaining 7 packages, feasibility study report has been finalized and work for preparation of bid documents, land acquisition, other preconstruction activities have been taken up. All these packages are at initial stage of award or at feasibility stage. The work of construction on 10 bridges, 2 minor bridges and 2 ROBs, is in progress and scheduled for completion by the end of July and August this year. Similarly, the 3(A) & 3(D) notification for land acquisition has been published/under publication for all the packages of Indapur to Zarap section except Bhogaon Khurd to Khawati section for which 3(A) notification is currently under finalization process. The 4 laning of Mumbai-Goa Highway from Indapur to Zarap section has been taken up on Hybrid Annuity Mode with Central Government funds, said official sources.
