AP gets Rs. 2,000-cr concrete roads

    Improving the road connectivity across the rural belt of the state, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to construct cement roads with a whopping length of 5,000-km at an investment of Rs 2,000cr, Panchayat Raj Minister, Ayyanna Patrudu said, adding that the government has identified the villages where CC roads would be laid and construction work on these projects would begin very shortly. The government has laid 3,500-km CC roads last year and will build 5,000-km roads this year as the State Road Department is committed to improve road connectivity in rural areas, he added.
