Railway launches Rs. 140-cr road projects

    In an attempt to provide top class connectivity by joining the two sections of NH-24 & 58 link road over the Delhi-Howrah near Ghaziabad, the Railways will soon start the work on the road project. The scope of work in the venture included 3.65-km elevated link road, which will connect the two major highway stretches in Ghaziabad, on both sides- Vijay Nagar and Meerut Crossing, GDA vice-chairman, Vijay Kumar Yadav, said, adding that the project is likely to get completed by July as the Railways has provided paraphernalia at the site and the work for connecting the two sections will start very shortly. This is for the first time that such a project is being carried out without constructing pillars at an estimated cost around Rs140 crore, which will provide direct connectivity to commuters travelling from NH-58 towards Greater Noida, Noida, NH-24 and Indirapuram, he added.
