    Highway Building Target
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways of North East Region has sanctioned the 4-laning of Itanagar to Banderdewa Highway Project and three Flyovers in the capital complex of the state, Chief Engineer, MoRTH for the region, V K Rajawat said, adding that the project will be steered cleared once the DPR has received from the state government and will enable the state to start work in the next few months. He also informed that considering the strategic locations and sensitivity of the border state, the administration there has handed over two important border roads from Joram to Koloriang and Dimwe to Hawai to Border Road Organizations (BRO) on the request of the Chief Minister during his meeting with the Prime Minister and Minister of Transport & Highways. He also informed that the work on improvement of Doimukh to Harmoti road is also going on satisfactorily and that the process of sanctioning of fund for the 4-Lane Highway Projects including three Flyovers in the State Capital is set to start very shortly so that the allied works are completed before the on-set of the monsoon as the Itanagar to Banderdewa and Itanagar to Holonggi roads are prone to landslides in rainy season, he added.
