Google seals 1 lakh sq ft space deal

    Google Space Deal
In an attempt to expand its operational ambit the global Internet giant Google has recently sealed 1 lakh sq ft office space lease deal in Bengaluru's Bagmane World Technology Centre, said sources, adding that the deal is a part of its plans to tap into the local market and engineering talent for which it has also decided to acquire an additional space in Hyderabad for setting up its largest campus, however, the official spokesperson remained tight lipped over the development. The company is ramping up its engineering investments at the Bengaluru and Hyderabad facilities and is also in the process of building a huge new campus in Hyderabad and other areas in the downstream south. The company had said that it will invest about Rs 1,000-cr in building the new campus, which will be spread over seven acres in Gachibowli in Hyderabad and will be its biggest campus outside the US. It may be recalled that Google had in 2015 leased 430,000 sq ft of office space from real estate developer Unitech in the second phase of its Signature Towers II project deal in Gurgaon. This was in addition to the 160,000 sq ft of space it already had, which is spreading over eight floors in the same complex, they added.
