
In order to ensure hassle free movement of traffic in the area, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has decided to build an elevated road project between the Ambedkar Circle and Sodala at an investment of Rs 200-cr and that the nodal agency has invited bids to construct the road without preparing a detailed project report (DPR) to avoid unnecessary delay in the project, said official sources, adding that for big projects, the JDA usually prepares a DPR to learn about the problems which could occur in future and that for the project in question, planning is done accordingly to overcome these problems and that in this case the JDA would provide its design to the company. In the case of other projects, JDA is preparing a DPRs before initiating work including for the Jhotwara elevated road and that the Ghat Ki Guni tunnel project, which was delayed as amendments in the DPR were made and that recently in a bid to ease traffic pressure between Ambedkar Circle and Sodala, the JDA has also finalised an elevated road designs over this route.
