Dwarka e-way project on the fast track

In order to provide top class connectivity to Dwarka sub-city on one hand and to Gurgaon on the other, with the NH-8, the government agencies both state and central have fast tracked the mega Dwarka e-way project. The process to connect the areas will be a great relief for homebuyers who have flats along the stretch but haven't been able to move in due to connectivity problems. On this score, HUDA has appointed a Delhi based consultant to carry out a topographic survey of the area and a survey of traffic movement, prepared a plan and will submit it in the next two months. The two expressways will be connected via either a flyover or an underpass, but a final decision will only be taken after the survey. The six-lane Dwarka Expressway, which was conceived over eight years ago, starts from Dwarka in Delhi and ends at Kherki Daula, where it meets the service road of NH-8. Currently, the expressway commuters either pay toll at the plaza or take a U-turn from Rajiv Chowk to reach the sectors on the other side of NH-8 causing problems. The Haryana chief minister has asked Huda to complete the road by June 2017, as the state is planning to build a Metro line and bus corridor along the e-way, said chief engineer HUDA D D Chopra.
