Wilfried Theissen, Managing Director - Putzmeister India

Putzmeister is in the process of introducing Machine Cockpit in its range of pumps.
Putzmeister is dedicated to delivering solutions where the long-term cost of ownership is lower than that of our competitors. Our stationary and truck-mounted boom pumps, for example, have developed a reputation for higher productivity, longer life of wear parts, and lower cost of replacement because of fewer parts.
Uptime of equipment can be optimized with regular and preventive maintenance. In addition to offering such maintenance, Putzmeister is in the process of introducing Machine Cockpit to its range of pumps. Machine Cockpit will help customers analyse data on key figures like delivery rate, machine use and fuel consumption. Customers can use this analysis to reduce unproductive times, wear, and fuel consumed, among other efficiencies.

Putzmeister equipment already integrates digitalization and automation; Our R&D is working to meet the new emission norms.
Our range of eSmart Stationary Pumps are, for many years now, equipped with Human Machine Interface (HMI) control panel to help operators determine the real time operating status of the machine and diagnose faults in a timely manner. The wireless remote available with our Truck Mounted Boom Pumps give operators accurate pumping and boom control among other features. Our Batching Plants were fully automated when we introduced them around 4 years ago.
Putzmeister will continue to offer customers optimal digitalization and automation features based on our customer requirements. As the construction industry in India moves towards tighter deadlines and improved cost outlays, we believe there will be an increased demand from customers for smarter controls. And we are ready to meet this demand. Our R&D is working with engine manufacturers to meet the target for the new emission norms which are set to be implemented in October 2020.
We source over 80% of our parts locally which are made to German specifications.
Putzmeister India primarily exports to Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Africa, SE Asia, Japan, and even the United States. While the equipment is assembled in India, the technology that powers the equipment is German. We source over 80% of our parts locally, these are made to German specifications.

Putzmeister and Sany have recently joined forces to enhance their concrete portfolio and after-sales services & coverage in India.
In bringing the concrete equipment offered by both Putzmeister and Sany under one umbrella, the customer will have access to an expanded and complementary range of Batching Plants, Transit Mixers, Stationary Concrete Pumps, Boom Placers, Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, Tower Cranes and Asphalt Pavers.
Customers will also have access to the service and spares network of both the companies. This will result in improved service available and a wider spares footprint in India. And, most importantly, by joining forces, the main advantage that customer will enjoy is having One Face for Two Brands.
We have tie ups with all major financers.
Putzmeister Stationary Pumps and Truck Mounted Boom Pumps have always garnered a good resale price. We also refurbish equipment for customers to extend the life of their equipment. In terms of helping customers get finance, we have tie ups with all major financers.
The government needs to help the sector with regular mobilization of funds and timely payments.
This year, the CE market has witnessed a downturn. Despite this, Putzmeister has been able to retain its position as a leading supplier of concrete pumps. Putzmeister India delivered its 5,000th Stationary Concrete Pump earlier this year. India remains an important market for the Putzmeister Group. And while India continues to have ambitious plans and targets, we believe the government needs to help the sector through regular mobilization of funds and timely payments. While financing has eased a bit, customers continue to face challenges. This has a knock-on effect that hurts the entire industry.
