The first three quarters of 2011 due to various factors were mixed bag of joy and sorrow for CE sector in general and crushing equipment in particular; how this year is wrapping-up for Terex MPS, and what are the emerging business trends you see in coming years?

We are quite optimistic about the 2012 outlook for the crushing and screening market. We hope that there would be growth in the roads and power sector which would support the demand for new crushing and screening plants. We also see a major growth in the commercial sand manufacturing sector with restrictions in place for river sand.
In view of increasing input-cost, higher interest rate, induction of Bharat III emission norms; how difficult are you finding to keep equipment price stable while maintaining their quality and reliability?
At Terex, we are committed to our customers to provide a world-class product with the most advanced features. We continuously strive to do technological advancements in our products range to keep the products competitive and meet customers requirements.
We have seen some impact of the rising interest rates for the customer financing and we offer assistance in equipment financing through our Terex Finance Services team. This helps the customer to secure financing for Terex equipment at the most competitive rates in the market.
What sort of innovative strategies the company is evolving to stave off the toughening competition scenario in the country?
We have launched the mobile wheel mounted plants earlier this year which comes with variety of customer-friendly features like the hydraulic CSS adjustment on the jaw crusher, chassis mounted secondary cone hopper and option of folding hopper on the Jaw chassis for excavator feeding. We try to be successful in the competitive market place by offering our customers products which have the lowest cost per ton and have the maximum uptime in the field.
We also plan to launch the modular plants in the Indian market next quarter. This would further strengthen our stationary and wheel plant offering for the local customers.
Terex MPS has started manufacturing 200 tph wheel crushing plant at its Hosur factory last year; how has been the market response so far?
The market response for the 200 TPH wheel plants manufactured at Hosur has been very encouraging. We have sold plants across India and there is huge interest in the export markets as well.
The customers liked the new concepts which we have brought in the market. Our wheel plants come with factory fitted Jaw and Cone crusher on the chassis to reduce the erection time at site and to minimize the cost of hiring high capacity cranes at site. We also have a sturdy design with triple Axle Jaw Chassis and option of folding hopper on Jaw Chassis to allow customers to feed the plant with a wheel loader or excavator in case they wish to start the plant immediately without waiting for the Retaining wall and ramp to be completed.
Our Cone Chassis also has the unique mobile design with the hopper and feeder on board the chassis for better feed control to cone crusher as well as quick erection at site.
The demand for wheel plants especially in road sector is quite robust and gradually it is moving toward higher capacity plants from 250 - 350 tph; do you have any plan to manufacture higher capacity wheel crusher locally in near future?
We would launch our wheel plants in the 250 – 300 TPH range next year which would meet the demands of the customers who wish to go for higher capacity plants for larger projects.

A word about your aftermarket support.
We are committed to provide unmatched customer service and aftermarket back up to our customers across India. We support the customers through our existing Terex dealer network and through our parts warehouse at Hosur.
We have the service, project management, aftermarket and technical applications team based in India for local customer support. We also conduct regular on site and factory training sessions for our customers and dealer staff to help reduce downtime at the site.
What are Terex MPS plans to participate in the forthcoming mega event Excon to be held at Bangalore, November this year?
Terex MPS would participate at Excon, and would display its wheel cone plant WC 1000 with on board hopper and feeder. This is a unique design and we hope that our customers and visitors would be interested in the machine. We would also have our technical and sales team members present at the show to address any customer queries and explain about the product range.
