Terex Brand Finlay: Application-Driven Crushing & Screening Solutions
We are making several design improvisations in our machines so that they are suitable for use in the constricted urban areas, specifically for recycling of construction and demolition waste. We are replacing the bigger engines with smaller ones to make the machines more compact, which will also reduce their cost, including through less fuel consumption. We are making advancements on the jaws and screens such that they will operate as a single unit, adding to the compactness of the machines.
Changes are being made in the jaw and impactors and we have added blow separators for blowing away the waste materials. A major modification to improve the overall performance and reliability of Finlay machines is by re-engineering them to deliver additional crushing force and enhancing their safety during operations.
Our new and upgraded Finlay machines have an improved screen media, covering broader areas, with more clearance in the screen box, such that only a negligible amount of residual matter remains post crushing. We are confident that the design improvements in the design of our crushing and screening machines will also make them more efficient and robust for higher availability and bring ease of maintenance with faster change of the screen decks and wear liner replacements. While increasing their productivity we are also reducing their operating costs. Our machines are being developed to do recycling of steel slag, fly ash and plasters. We are delighted to be extending our long-standing partnership with Spaleck Gmbh and introduce their innovative screening technology to the Indian market on Finlay mobile plants. We have a long a relationship with Spaleck and have been working together marketing the Finlay 883+ Spaleck screener globally for over a decade. The ‘bio-mining’ sector is an area we are focusing upon and this partnership with Spaleck will provide innovative screening solutions to Indian customers operating in difficult and sticky applications that previously were uneconomical and inefficient to process. We firmly believe that "Waste is not a waste until we waste it" and the Finlay 883+ Spaleck is the ideal machine that will enable companies engaged in this sector to maximise the opportunity to recover and reuse valuable natural resources.
Finlay has also come up with a new large cone and jaw configuration in the hybrid models, comprising a main diesel power pack to power the electric system. We will be expanding our hybrid products with an emphasis on reducing their downtime, reducing their operating costs, and ensuring higher performance with better yields.
We are taking important inputs from our customers in the design of our machines (especially in the screening medium) and are also analyzing real time operating data on machine performance before making any modifications to their design. We believe that Telematics will continue to play a major role in ensuring higher availability of Finlay machines. We are extending all the necessary technical support to our customers, including round-the-clock help desks and operating training programs for our dealers and customers.
