Schwing Stetter: Connecting with customers
Way forward for the Excavator market of India
The cost of raw material which is burdened with import duty and Covid restrictions have taken a toll on the manufacturing sector. But the market has gained a positive traction since 2021 and has followed suit with promising growth projections in the upcoming years. Metro rail projects and highway projects that are ongoing and starting in different parts of the country are the main demand drivers, while the mining sector has always been a steadily growing sector with huge demand driving the excavator machines.
Recent improvements and advancements in Schwing Stetter machines
We have inducted multiple working modes in our products to fit the requirement of various application of excavators. Specially designed buckets are available for SCHWING-XCMG excavators that provide maximum output without any time wastage which increases fuel efficiency and decreases fuel consumption.
Our XE215i-K LC excavator is fitted with the nine-roller mobility feature which increases the machine’s grip and traction, making it the best option in the market for application in challenging geographical terrains.
Our dedicated R&D department has been working on bringing out electric excavators, which are now in the final stages of development. SCHWING-XCMG has invested in plans to bring in a range of electric mini excavators with smaller tonnage capacity, which will perform without any compromise on productivity. We also plan to implement the same in the higher tonnage class of excavators.
The mix of reinforced and high strength steel with minimal overlap of materials has provided our machines with reduced energy usage in operation, along with high strength and zero weight increase. Carbon fibre, which is a high-cost material, has a lot of potential in this sector and is part of our future plans.
