Excon being the biggest event for the mining Industry, we plan to use the platform to reach out to all the potential OEM customers by showcasing our entire product range and make them aware of our upgraded manufacturing capabilities and testing facilities.

Our focus has always been on the seals used in Mining and Construction Equipment.
Seals are a very integral and critical part of any Hydraulic System. At Royal, we specialize in the manufacturing and supply of Piston seals, Rod seals, Dust / Wiper seals, Guide rings, ’O’rings and Back–up rings, and seal kits for Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Hydro-Pneumatic applications. We manufacture many components as per the design or OEM specifications. With advancement of new generation polymers, the boundaries of designing hydraulic systems is changing. We at Royal, with our technical know-how, are working with many OEMs on both their existing and new projects.

We expect the requirements of Hydraulic & Pneumatic seals to have a steady growth in the next couple of years in the CE and off-highway industries.
OEMs are looking to innovate their design with low power and space consumption being a vital factor. We expect an increase in demand for the high pressure and high temperature resistant seal as it is one of the most important components where designers are looking for a solution. Unless there is a customized sealing solution provider, OEMs are stuck for their prototype testing before commercially launching their products.

Apart from supplying the standard products, we work with many OEMs like L&T, CNH, TAFE, Canara Hydraulics, Precision Engineering and Accessories etc for their development projects where they are looking for a smaller lead time as well as very high quality and consistent seal supply. Being one of the very few indigenous seal manufacturers, our quality, consistency, service with lower lead times, ex-stock availability of material etc, is definitely helping OEMs in enhancing their efficiency.

Our complete focus is on R&D along with Testing and Validation data which are becoming more and more important in the industry.
Firstly, understanding, evaluating and adopting newer polymers, especially in Polyurethane and PTFE has become important. With more and more hydraulic applications having requirements of higher pressure, higher temperature, higher service life and lower cost, focus on R&D of material and design is the only way forward. Also, with various hydraulic fluids now becoming popular/mandatory in different applications, study of fluid compatibility with various sealing materials at various specifications is becoming important from the design point of view. Our material testing lab is focused in this area.

Secondly, testing of various seal profiles, seal configuration etc is very critical for us and we are focused on upgrading our testing set-up. We have a dedicated hydraulic test lab where we intend to add few more testing set-ups in the coming months. We understand that investing in R&D and utilizing the facility is both technically and commercially beneficial to us and all the OEMs in the long run.

The Industry requirements are evolving each day. With competition increasing in the market, a reliable seal supplier is very critical for any company in the hydraulic industry. With a very experienced technical team and highly efficient sales and service departments, along with our ever-increasing production set-up, Royal is positioned very well to understand and deliver on its clients needs. Advanced raw material planning, efficient inventory planning and control, smaller lead times, and continuous focus on production advancements have helped Royal to be in a position of strength in terms of fulfilling customer requirements.

We plan to explore more industries for our sealing solutions.
Our focus in the coming months is to build greater awareness of our technical and production capabilities in the market. Customized sealing solutions along with branding by embossing the customer’s specific part numbers on the seals can be a good marketing strategy for OEMs. We also offer complete seal kit packaging to customers which saves their time and working hours so that they can concentrate more on their products. Recently, Royal has started providing sealing solutions to Gear Pump, Valve and Accumulator industries and we plan to explore more such similar industries in the near future.
