What is your outlook on the growth of the construction equipment industry in the wake of the government’s focus on infrastructure development?

In recent years, India has witnessed massive investment in the construction industry from both public and private sectors which will led to increase in demand for construction equipment.

The Govt. sector is working on infrastructural development with a proactive approach to shape the future of building the best facilities in India, which will lead to efficient economic growth and development. Big investments are planned for expanding the country’s energy & water supply; roads, rail networks, ports, airports etc. With the strong demand emanating from the Govt. backed infrastructure projects, the segment is poised to register a remarkable compound annual growth rate.

How do you see the impact of GST on the industry?

It will bring transparency in the system, and fast track the projects. Moreover, it will make India a seamless market to do business.

The market is maturing from basic equipment to more sophisticated machines; what technical impro- visations is Macons doing in its existing product offerings?

Macons has always believed in innovation and has been able to design equipment as per the requirement of the customer. With rapid change in construction techniques and growth in high-rise building construction activities, concrete equipment too needs a paradigm shift. To cater to these construction equipment needs, we re-introduced our existing products with new innovations & techniques. Moreover, we recently introduced our high capacity concrete batching/mixing plant MAC – 112 & MAC-135 with twin shaft mixer and also horizontal concrete batching /mixing plant MCP-BIN-90 to MCP-BIN-240.

At Macons, we always strive to bring in the latest technology. We have a wide range of products like Concrete Batching plants, Wet Mix Macadam plants, Self-Loading Transit Mixer, Kerb machines, Concrete Pavers, Vertical cement/fly ash Silos, etc. We are catering to many allied industries apart from the infrastructure sector like power, roads, bridges, airports, canal, dam, refinery, city infrastructure, steel plant, metro rail, ports & jetties, windmill foundation, IT parks, hospitals, malls & mega malls, universities and colleges, hotels, industries, telecommunications, etc. To meet the growing market needs, we are reorganizing ourselves into a regional structure.

Strong after-sales services and spare parts availability are also becoming one of the key selling points. How is your company strengthening its positions in these areas?

Macons has nationwide network of authorized dealers and sales representatives, with our strong spares back-up and prompt service support, we are making a mark in the industry.

Macons has identified four new locations for its dealer network expansion. At 31 different locations, dealers are already serving the customer and remaining 4 locations will be covered very soon. Of the 35 dealer locations at 17 different places, genuine spare stocks are available, and gradually we will cover all the locations with spare stocks availability. Each dealer has local sales, marketing and service representatives to cater to customers in the region. Macons’ sales representatives are present at all the main locations of India.

Our efficient customer service department is one of our biggest strengths. It delivers an MTTR of less than 48 hours. We have set up a wide service network through well-trained & experienced service engineers. We offer an annual maintenance contract and take care of schedule services of plant to make sure that the plant is running without any break down.

Macons prompt and efficient after-sales service is one of the main reasons for the company to achieve repeat orders from existing clients.

What will be the company’s focus during its participation at bauma Conexpo India 2016?

Considering the positive response of the past events, we are participating this year too in bC India and looking forward to it very positively. We feel that this is the best platform to launch, exchange ideas/information, explore new market opportunities, analyze current trends in construction industries, execute various activities to promote latest equipment, and understand the customer’s needs. The show helps in promoting products to a huge number of customers under one roof and in achieving the objectives of marketing.

Construction in India is quickly approaching international standards. Keeping the requirement of customers in mind, we have designed our machines with updated technology and strong structure. We are also looking forward to new business ventures to take our business to new heights.

What products and services will be launched / displayed at the show? Kindly highlight the USPs of one of your newly introduced products?

We are displaying our high capacity concrete batching / mixing plant, MAC-120 and other products. The MAC series of plants has been introduced in India for the first time. It is a very compact plant with the entire structure requiring minimum civil foundations (only four footprints) in comparison to other conventional plants. The plant is supplied in a ready-to-use condition as it is completely pre-wired and pre-piped, hence, no erection time is lost. It also allows buyers to save time and money through easy transportation and lighter assembling entailed while shifting plant from one site to another. This series of plants is provided with the latest batching software.

The MAC model is especially designed to produce concrete at sites where quality, flexibility, and performance, are the key features. The plant is made up in welded construction of steel profiles. The complete structure is shot blasted before the primary coat of paint is implemented. Two coats of paint are applied on stairs, balconies, pavements, and discharge mouths of the aggregates bins to resist corrosion. The plant can be used for many applications including ready-mix concrete production, bridges, jetties, roads, canals, buildings, industrial parks, airport runways, etc. The most important advantage of MAC is that it requires less maintenance and it provides more than 100% production, which in turn leads to decrease in cost of production.
