Premraj Kashyap, MD
Premraj Kashyap, MD, informs that the company is fully geared up to meet upcoming demand in FY23-24 and has added a lot of innovative products to their Concrete Equipment portfolio, including a new range of Self-Loading Concrete Mixers.

How can the Indian Government step up growth of the CE Industry and what increase in demand do you expect in FY23-24?
The government intends to have a transformative approach for economic growth and sustainable development, recognizing world-class infrastructure as a cornerstone, hence, we are expecting a higher growth rate for Concrete Equipment Industry in India.

However, to achieve and maintain this growth, we expect the Government to step up public investment complemented by private capital at a significant scale with emphasis on PPP model. In addition, there is a growing need for enhanced quality standards for CE and skill development in order to produce and operate world-class equipment.

We expect good demand for all types of construction equipment, especially Concrete Equipment, in 2023-24, thanks to the big investments in developing or modernizing railways, roadways, waterways, mass transportation, and logistics infrastructure.

What new high-tech products will KYB Conmat display at bauma Conexpo India ’23 and what are their environment-friendly features that would be highlighted?
We will be displaying our new range of Self-Loading Concrete Mixers, all of which are IoT enabled and are BS-4 and ARAI compliant. They offer better fuel efficiency, high productivity, superior mix quality, faster loading and discharge due to an advance Blade Design. An electronic batching system with printer helps produce more concrete per batch by optimized drum capacity, which reduces the overall cost per cubic meter of concrete.

Further, these Self-Loading Mixers offer superior maneuverability by single joystick control, 4-wheel steering/4-wheel drive system, besides superior operator comfort due to a reversible seat and balanced load distribution on the front and rear axles.

What are the company’s efforts towards improving productivity and fuel efficiency in operations, besides reducing carbon emissions and wastage?
We, at KYB Conmat, are committed to design and develop equipment to reduce emission. Through continuous R&D we aim to improve fuel efficiency and productivity, and we have IoT based systems for monitoring and maintaining onsite product performance. All our Self-Loading mixers are equipped with engines that are within permissible emission levels.

It is also our endeavor to improve productivity and efficiency in our operations at every level. We use various process optimization techniques, systems and software and regularly provide training to all our team members. Most of our raw material processing machines are equipped with lay-out optimization software to reduce wastage.

Our products are developed at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities after extensive field research and trials. Our rugged and reliable products give low total cost of ownership, with proven high productivity and power/fuel efficiency. We ensure that we exceed customers’ expectations by providing path-breaking technologies at reasonable prices. Our focus is on producing India-centric equipment rather than importing technologies and equipment from overseas.

Premraj Kashyap, MD

What services is KYB-Conmat offering its customers?
KYB-Conmat has a strong country-wide after-sales service network; over 150 trained service personnel are stationed in such a way that they can reach the remotest locations easily. This is further supported by our dealer/spare parts network.

Our 24x7 Service Support Desk is linked with service engineers at different locations. It identifies caller geographical location and forwards the call to the nearest service personnel. With our remote diagnostic and maintenance software, we eliminate the need for a service engineer to visit site, which gives more uptime to the machine.

What operator skills are required to run KYB Conmat machines that have automation and digitalization?
KYB Conmat equipment are user-friendly and require very little skill to operate and manage. Our batching plants, for instance, have the latest multi-language Scada software, so that they can be operated in the local language.

We also provide the self-diagnostic feature in our control system to minimize downtime and the need for physical service visits. KYB Conmat’s batching plants can be remotely connected to our server through VPN, and any fault finding, repair, software updating, etc. can be done from remote locations.
