Jaideep Shekhar, Managing Director(Asia & EMEAR) - TEREX Materials Processing India
We are currently working on various new product development projects which include new models for our modular range and some new additions for our tracked crushers and conveyors. We will be launching the new Low Level Feeders and High Level Feeders from Terex Conveying Systems, which are complementary to the core Terex crushing & screening equipment.

We offer the largest selection of tracked machines manufactured locally to meet the price, delivery and quality requirements of the Indian customers.
Terex is the market leader in Tracked Mobile Crushing and Screening market with two of our brands Powerscreen and Terex Finlay being the preferred choice of customers. We offer the largest selection of tracked machines manufactured locally to meet the price, delivery and quality requirements of the Indian customers. Our range of products include Tracked Jaw Crushers and Cone Crushers, Tracked Two and Three Deck Screens and unique machines like Warriors and Tracked Conveyors. We also have an extensive range of products like the Tracked Impactors and Tracked Horizontal screens which we import from our UK factory as per the requirements.

We are also adding multiple new products to our tracked conveyor range. We are launching the High Level Feeder Conveyor and the Low Level Feeder Conveyor in India later this year. We are also launching the tracked 100 ft. conveyor in addition to the already available 65 ft. and 80 ft. conveyors in the market.

Our feeders have been designed to maximize productivity, enhance efficiency, reduce onsite operational costs and improve safety in a range of applications and feed material types.
With the low level feeder, the large hopper (7m3) with a feed of 1900mm height and width of 3500mm, enables low level feeding directly from excavators, grab cranes, and wheel loaders. With the high level feeder, the hopper (8m3) has a feed of 2540mm height and width of 4088mm.

For onsite safety and quick set-up, the hoppers for both the feeders are fitted as standard with hydraulically folding sides. Another important aspect is the safety at site. The movement of loaders and dumpers is one of leading causes of accidents at quarry sites. Use of these conveyors will help avoid movement of loaders and dumpers to a large extent, thus improving the site safety as well as reducing air pollution.

Terex has supplied over 100 Autosand® machines across India for meeting the ever-growing sand requirements.
Terex is continuously incorporating the latest technologies across all domains of our crushing, screening, washing and material handling equipment. We are one of the first companies to manufacture mobile plants in India and we provide customers with products that best suit their needs at the right price.

Along with the most comprehensive portfolio for crushing and screening equipment, we also provide a one-stop solution for sand manufacturing needs, with equipment that is proven for handling the toughest applications, even when operating in extreme conditions. An example is the Terex Autosand® machine, which has established itself as an efficient and reliable machine to produce manufactured sand. This is due to its low power consumption and low ultrafine generation on per-ton basis, thus reducing sand washing and slurry management costs. The machine has a large feed intake, capable up to 63mm, and a higher production capacity compared to the conventional tertiary machines. The longer parallel crushing zone in the Autosand® cone results in higher reduction and better-shaped aggregate.

Terex has supplied over 100 Autosand® machines across India for meeting the ever-growing sand requirements, including a large sand plant at Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. As one of the biggest installations in the country for quality sand production, it can produce 300 ton per hour of high-quality sand. A salient feature of this plant is the use of only Autosand® machines to produce sand (contrary to traditional use of impactors to produce sand), thus making it highly efficient with minimum wastage.

There are two streams of thought on integrating IoT, Big Data, Machine Learning and AI in the machines: there are customers who want more simplified controls, and some even don’t want to get into PLCs. To meet demand from this customer segment, we have launched our core range of machines in India with simple controls.
We are one of the first companies in the crushing and screening domain globally to launch telematics across our tracked mobile range of equipment. Telematics provides customers access to complete information on the machine such as the production data, performance data and other vital parameters.

Our telematics goes beyond simply a list of statistics and numbers. In addition to regular reports on machine usage and fuel consumption to help customers manage their fleet, telematics is tied to predictive maintenance, where customers can know when their machine is due for service or when parts need replacement. This is especially beneficial for large companies who operate a fleet of crushers at various sites, as telematics enables them to get all the information on their fleet at their head office or technical division.

What differentiates Terex India from the competitors is our huge investment in aftermarket support.
Our crushing and screening equipment represent a large capital investment for our customers, and maximising uptime and return on investment is therefore critical. We have invested heavily in service and parts support and have the highest number of parts warehouses in the country. Our recently opened Integrated Aftermarket Facility aims to double the parts warehouse area. The state-of-the-art facility has an upgraded logistics system that deals with all picking, packing, delivery functions and storage, and plays a key role in driving the reliable, efficient supply of parts to our customers.

Terex India has also expanded its Customer and Product Support Team to improve geographic reach and increase capacity for technical support provision across India.

Terex Conveying Systems

Terex has recently celebrated a decade of success in India and announced its expansion plan with the introduction of a new product line from its Hosur plant.
Terex India has reached a 10-year milestone since we established the first office in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, in 2009. India is a very important market for Terex, and we are continuously incorporating new innovations across our product portfolio to provide our customers with a one-stop solution for their mining, quarrying and sand manufacturing needs.

Our expansion plans at the Hosur facility include the new integrated aftermarket facility, new shot blasting and paint shop facility, a new machine shop and other infrastructure enhancements, all of which will bring production ramp up and improved efficiency. In addition, Terex aims to steadily accelerate its growth by introducing new product lines to the market.

TEREX Materials Processing

We have set up a new Training Centre at our Hosur facility to provide advanced training to crusher operators and plant supervisors.
Every year, Terex India provides operator training to hundreds of participants, with almost 600 trained across the country, up till 2018. We run multiple Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for our customers which gives them the peace of mind with their running costs frozen. It also supports better plant maintenance and longer economic life of the plant. Customers are aware that Terex is best placed to support the tracked machines under AMC with its vast experience in tracked plants, timely availability of parts, and the large presence of our service engineers across the country.

Our new Training Centre is accredited by the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) as partner under the Skill India and NSDC programs of the Government of India.

The roads and highway sector continues to be an important growth driver for the CE industry; Demand for tracked crushers & screeners and superior quality manufactured sand, is anticipated to rise exponentially.
India’s crushing and screening industry has seen a steady growth over the last few years and two important factors driving this growth are: increased government spending on infrastructure and a surge in road sector and cement capacity expansion projects. We, however, are witnessing a softening of demand in this fiscal due to the geo-political reasons and expect that demand will pick up again from the next fiscal.

The roads and highway sector continues to be an important growth driver for the CE industry and is one of the main reasons for customers to move towards mobility. Our tracked plants are best suited to meet the requirements of these customers, especially when they have to complete large projects in a relatively shorter period of time. We have seen this trend for the last few years and it is one of the prime reasons for the growth of our tracked crushers and screeners in the Indian market.

Terex MTV2000

The dwindling supply of sand as a construction resource has been well documented in the media for many years. As a result, manufactured sand - where the sand is derived from crushed rock fine - is proving to be a sustainable and a viable alternative for construction needs. Taking India as an example, historically, most sand was dredged from rivers, but in recent times, the government crack-down on the practice has led to a boom in manufactured sands. Due to numerous infrastructure projects like the Bharatmala, Sagarmala, railway and airport expansion, demand for superior quality manufactured sand is anticipated to rise exponentially. We are therefore excited about the opportunity for growth across solutions for sand manufacturing needs.
