What will be the highlights of your product display at bauma Conexpo India 2023?
We will be showcasing our Mobility series of products as mobility of machines is what the market currently demands. Our mobile products will be easy to transport from one project site to another in a shorter time period as per the requirements. We will also showcase our affordable remote-monitored automation.
Our aim is to bring digitalization in our products and systems to increase productivity and performance and to reduce manual interventions in the operating processes. For instance, our Smart JHF220 - a two-stage plant with a production capacity of 200 tons per hour - can produce various end-products that meet the NHAI, MoRTH, and IS standards.
According to you, what improvements should be made in India’s CE Industry for it to reach world standards, and what are the challenges?
India’s construction equipment industry is well on its way of meeting international construction standards. But I think the speed of development can be improved and manufacturing processes made more efficient.
There should be a greater focus on the health, well-being, and safety standards of the workers, and the industry must also contribute towards creating a more environment-friendly and sustainable environment.
By bringing in more digitalization, the industry can deal in a better way with productivity challenges. Unexpected price hike of raw materials are other challenges as they lead to increase in equipment cost and impact sales negatively.
Another major area (and challenging too) is making our constructions/structures/buildings aesthetically more attractive, and which showcase the country’s engineering marvels and our design and construction supremacy.
What equipment sales do you envisage in 2023-24 in view of the ongoing and upcoming infra projects?
India’s CE Industry is expected to show a growth of 15-20% in FY23, which will include both the domestic and export markets. A faster pace of highway construction (if maintained throughout the year) will result in a more stable demand for construction equipment. Also, a clear roadmap for all planned infrastructure projects will help the industry meet the growing demand more efficiently.
At Hailstone Innovations, we are planning to meet the anticipated demand by bringing more efficiencies in our supply chain network. More digitalization and automation in SCM will be one of our top priorities. We will also increase our participation in tender announcements and other market deals happening across the country.
