GJJ hoistsPV Ramdev, Managing Director, Everest Engineering Equipment
Everest Engineering Equipment, exclusive distributor of GJJ passenger hoists and platforms in India, has grown tremendously with many new customers and repeat buyers. Discussing the company’s expansion plans, PV Ramdev, Managing Director, informs, “Everest is gearing up to expand its footprints to each corner of India; the company is also setting up a manufacturing plant near Mumbai to develop world-class equipment with an eye on export markets.”

“Buildings are now being made up to heights of 400m, but the locally made hoists and platforms can go up to 100 - 150m heights, while our standard passenger hoist can easily reach 500m, plus, it has an average lifespan of 20 years. We undertake extensive R&D to develop products as per international standards, and follow stringent quality control measures, since we are also looking at the export markets,” informs Ramdev.

Everest offers high-speed CNC rebar processing equipment like stirrup bender, double bender, lattice girder, shear line, weld mesh plant, and pile cage making machines – all of which are in high demand. “Construction of mega infra projects is increasing and becoming more complex. Such projects require high-performing equipment for contractors to meet their project timelines. GJJ hoists are being used by established companies like L&T, and Lanco who have been having 18-20-year-old hoists, which are still working well,” says Ramdev.

Safety is a major focus area at Everest, given the tricky nature of job at construction sites. The company has a dedicated safety department manned by a safety officer and supervisors who are responsible for implementing the highest safety standards on every project site.

“We maintain safety standards up to ISO 45001 to ensure the health and safety of the people, equipment, and the environment. We are also ISO 9001:2015 certified from TUV. Our customers are expected to maintain the equipment and document it; this is checked periodically by our engineers. We also conduct training camps every month for our customers and engineers, and we train our service engineers and technicians on troubleshooting and maintenance of every equipment,” he adds.

Everest sales & service team is present across India and has recently expanded its dealer network to ensure services within 24 hours, in any part of the country. “Our strong focus on safety and reliable services has led to repeat orders, and the resultant spectacular growth of the company,” avers Ramdev. “The order from Tata Steel, Kalinga Nagar, Odisha, is yet another feather in our cap.”
