Chander Dutta, Managing Director - Elematic
We will be promoting our Acotec partition walls; our new Elematic E9 Extruder machine; Cold Shutter Battery Moulds; and the KVT SEMI – Mobile wall and slab production line at Excon.

Fast and profitable production technology is our USP.
Elematic is the leading Precast Technology company with its presence across the globe. In India, we have been operating for more than 10 years now. We provide systems and solutions for fast and profitable production. Acotec partition wall, for example, is an ideal replacement for concrete blocks and bricks, and is a fast and profitable production technology for light, non-load bearing, room-high partition wall panels. The line covers the entire production process from concrete batching to the storage yard. High production of partition walls at a competitive capex and green concrete products are the advantages of Acotec technology.

Our new Elematic E9 Extruder machine has casting speeds 50% higher than the traditional machines. Our Cold Shutter Battery Moulds offer higher productivity; our Circulation Lines come with special units or double wall elements and special elements production; the KVT SEMI – Mobile wall and slab production line is an easy start-up of precast production with low investment as the KVT line has a small space requirement in a production hall, possibility to make fast changes in everyday production. USP of this line is that you don’t need separate compacting and tilting equipment as all these actions are performed by single KVT line.

Compared to cast-in-situ, precast uses less concrete, less water, less steel, less labor and produces less waste.
Precast is a modular building system based on ready-made, factory-manufactured components and intelligent connections for constructing commercial, residential and industrial structures. The main advantages of precast technology are assured concrete quality, speed of construction, and a huge reduction in the number of workers required at site at comparable costs to an RCC structure.

By breaking up of the complete construction activity to many parallel projects transferring production of concrete building elements from the site to a safe and controlled, automated factory environment, you achieve speed of construction and high quality of the constructed building. By adopting efficient design of structure and following precast construction principles, you can reach comparable costs equivalent to cast-in -situ buildings and speeds which are two times faster.

Both the thermal and sound insulation properties of precast are very advanced. Precast concrete buildings absorb and store surplus heat and slowly release it back into the air. Compared to cast-in-situ, precast uses less of everything – less concrete, less water, less steel, and less labor. It produces less waste on the site and in the factory. This makes CO2 footprint of precast much smaller than in cast-in-situ construction. Precast offers a safer and healthier working environment. Material handling is easier, and less scaffolding is needed. Precast technology works in virtually all environments – cold, hot, moist or dry.

Precast construction might be the only answer to the challenges the construction industry is facing in India.
The precast technology is just beginning to get acceptance in India, and we are very positive about its growth in this industry. Currently, the precast industry in India has a very low market share, but this has changed in the last few years and now most of the industry partners are of the opinion that precast construction might be the only answer to the challenges the construction industry faces in India.

Elematic is in the forefront of this revolution that is sweeping the industry. We offer technology as well as the associated services required to make precast constructed projects a success. We are also associating with Industry bodies and have launched a Precast Academy with the help of Trimble, and more such initiatives are being planned. We also help bring more architects and third-party consultants on board.

Precast technology is an optimal choice for large housing projects.
Elematic believes that Precast technology can offer not only affordable but good living spaces that can create healthy communities. Mass housing and Affordable housing initiative by the Government is a great step forward and there are already a number of affordable housing programs such as DDA an Raipur Development Authority, MHADA, and CIDCO where Elematic precast technology has been used by contractors to achieve high speed construction.

The use of precast concrete brings quite a lot of savings compared to alternative solutions. The savings come from a number of sources.
  • Precast construction uses RCC the lowest cost and the most successful building material that mankind has ever known
  • Use of Prestressed Slabs that can be 6-8 meters; these will reduce the number of reinforced load bearing elements.
  • Pre-stressing steel strands can also bring down consumption of steel and weight of the building, thus further reduce cost of the structure.
To sum up, good quality and low life-cycle costs of precast concrete buildings make them an attractive choice for homeowners. Add to that the short construction time and cost efficiency of the construction process and you get an optimal choice for large housing projects.

Elematic has set up 33 precast installations, till date, in India.
Elematic has a rich history of 60 years globally and 10 years now in India. We offer full-fledged Technology and Engineering Services. Not only do we have local presence for after sales service team we also have engineering resources that help clients in executing projects. We are the global technology and market leader in precast concrete technology for residential and non-residential buildings, and no other competitor offers such a full range of services.

We are present from the very inception of a project as a technology partner on board to advise clients on the best methods to adopt from building structure to selection of plant and machinery. We hand hold our customers’ team during the learning curve and help them understand the complexities of running the production plant and well as designing a good precast structure. We have a good network of architects and consultants with expertise in precast expertise, and we are educating our key markets to create a better understanding and appreciation of this technology. In India, Elematic is the only turnkey solutions provider present who has set up 33 precast installations, till date; which represents more than 50% market share.

Our clients include big names in the industry such as B.G. Shirke (which is constructing 10,000 apartments every year and handing them over to DDA under the low cost/PMAY/EWS schemes), Katerra, Aurobindo Realty, Shapoorji and Pallonji, Godrej Projects, Jindal Realty and Robomatic.
