Sanjay Saxena, VP & Head (HE and Concrete Business Unit) - Sany Heavy Industries India

Sanjay Saxena – VP & Head- HE and Concrete Business Unit
Sany is working on an ambious plans to broaden its mobile offerings in India. We will be launching our new 25 and 50-ton truck cranes, and the new SCC 450A, 45-ton crawler crane for piling, concrete pouring and other general erection jobs at Excon. Also on display will be our long boom telescopic crawler cranes – the first time for the Indian market.

Our new range of mobile cranes will contain telematics called ‘E-Vision’
E-Vision, connected through GPS, will deliver real time information on various operating functionalities of the cranes. Owners will get information on the number of lifts made for the erection jobs assigned, diesel consumption etc.

Following testing and its authentication, E-Vision will be available through the mobile handsets of the owners/operators through Google Playstore. One of the prime advantages of the E-Vision telematics will be that based on the data available and also through historical data, the right lift plan of the cranes can be prepared as per the safety parameters, and enable preventive maintenance of the cranes for higher availability.

To enhance the performance of our mobile cranes, we now have in-house designed higher speed winches. These faster winches will reduce lifting time and fasten the cycle times. They will improve the lifting capacity of the cranes and through the new U-shaped stronger, lighter, made of higher tensile steel boom, which can work at longer radius, and is suitable for maintenance work at refineries and cement plants.

Sany STC450C

Sany India has planned localization of its mobile cranes at its facility in Pune.
For reducing the initial owning costs of its mobile cranes in the Indian market, Sany India has planned localization of its mobile cranes at its facility in Pune. We will undertake localization of the cranes in phases. Our 25-80 tons are locally produced and next year, we will start localization of the 100-ton class truck cranes. We will also be launching our higher capacity truck / all terrain cranes in 2020 at our Pune plant.

We have entered a MoU with iCEMA, IESC and Crane Owners Association of India under Skill India.
Sany has drawn major plans to ensure higher performance of its cranes by training the crane operators, who will be given a certificate on successful completion of the training program. So far, Sany India has trained 200 crane operators and is also giving training to ITI diploma holders at the company’s training facility. For operators working at remote locations, Sany provides onsite training.
