Our new HX series of excavators will be launched at Excon19. It will showcase the innovative Clinometer, which informs the operator about the inclination angle of the machine while digging, and will have a ROPS/FOPS cabin, and a rear-view camera for all around visibility. I am sure our customers will appreciate the various new features for safe operation, the technology-led controls, and product quality, which have been designed and developed to meet their present and future requirements

We have developed an exclusive fuel efficiency kit for our SMART series of machines.
Hyundai in Korean means ‘modern’ as we keep working at different levels to keep our products current and equipped with the latest and most innovative features. Since the inception of our company, we have offered the CAPO (Computer Aided Power Optimization) system, self-monitoring and fault diagnostic features in all our excavators.

We have recently updated the control program for machines to improve their fuel efficiency and have developed an exclusive fuel efficiency kit for our SMART series of machines. Understanding the need of customers to track the performance of their machines, we developed and launched a unique remote management system called Hi-Mate, where all the critical operational and performance parameters, including service and error codes are available to the customer at a touch of his mobile phone app.

Worksites have become more and more demanding on the equipment where a lot more is expected than before with respects to their performance, safety, and fuel saving.
Customers are increasingly looking for equipment that ensures timely completion of the contract while ensuring productivity, profitability and reliability. To address this requirement, Hyundai CE India makes constant improvements in the existing line-up, along with new machine launches. Recently, Hyundai introduced a new fuel saving technology in its 20-ton range, which saves up to 25% fuel costs. We will be extending this fuel saving technology to other segments as well.

With expectations of more efficient performances by the machines, technologies such as IoT, Big Data, Machine Learning and AI are poised to be the next big thing in the CE industry.
While currently, the implementation of such technologies is at a nascent stage, we see them playing a very important role, going forward. Equipment is the most crucial factor in any construction and mining operation. With the expectation of more efficient operations from the equipment, these technologies are poised to be the next big thing. We are already witnessing wide scale adoption of these technologies in the developed markets.

We have seen the Remote Management System and Hi Mate being launched In India and doing exceptionally well. Other global offerings such as Hi Assist and Hi Detect will soon find their way to the Indian market and we will offer more technologies as demands rises since we already have a line-up of these proprietary tools at our disposal, globally.

Hyundai has one of the most competitive Mean Time to Respond (MTR) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) in the industry.
We are constantly expanding our product portfolio to address any gaps that may develop in the market. This is apparent from the wide range that we offer in India. Additionally, we have one of the widest networks of sales, spares and service facilities across the country. This ensures that our engineers are able to reach the equipment in the field, wherever and whenever required.

Hyundai has one of the most competitive Mean Time to Respond (MTR) as well as Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) in the industry. We have implemented an online complaint management system for customers so that their complaints are not only addressed on time but also escalated to the correct node. We have also set up a dedicated call centre and CRM centre.

Distribution of genuine spare parts and their availability closer to the machine is ensured through our central warehouse in Pune, regional depots, and at our dealers across the country.

IESC recognized Hyundai Construction Equipment India as the Best training partner in 2017 and again in 2019.
At our well-developed training centre at the Pune plant, our dedicated team carries out operator training programs across the country. We are authorized to undertake training programs for National Skill Development Council (NSDC) under the banner of Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC).

We are happy to share that IESC recognized Hyundai Construction Equipment India as the Best training partner in 2017 and again in 2019. Our team has trained and certified more than 2000 operators during 2019 under RPL 4 program of NSDC.

The long-term prospects for India are quite promising.
Though the industry is currently going through a rough patch, the long-term prospects for India are quite promising. Large scale projects by the central and state governments in sectors such as roads, inland waterways, ports, airports and infrastructure modernization in the cities, will raise the demand for equipment on a large scale.

The infrastructure sector remains the biggest focus area of the central Government. Under the Union Budget 2019-20, ₹4,41,704.8 crore has been allocated to the sector. Railways, Roads & Highways, Ports and Airports are expected to receive a huge chunk of this allocation.

Furthermore, the government has announced to invest ₹10,000,000 crore for infra development over the next five years. To upgrade 1,25,000 kms of road length over the next five years, the estimated cost of ₹80,250 crore is envisaged under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III (PMGSY). The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has created a pipeline of projects worth ₹8 lakh crore, which will be awarded over the next three years, as the government begins the exercise of creating a national infrastructure pipeline.

All these developments point towards the continued thrust by the policy makers for the Infrastructure industry, leading to a buoyant demand for the CE Industry for the next 3 to 5 years.
