“On 1st Feb 2018, Husqvarna Group acquired Atlas Copco’s business of Light Compaction & Concrete Placement & Vibration. Up until bauma, this range will be sold by Husqvarna Construction India under the Atlas Copco brand and from January onwards, the complete range will be re-branded as Husqvarna, and will sport the orange livery of Husqvarna. Husqvarna’s plans to have a huge brand launch at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018 besides online and offline marketing viz. regional trade shows and road shows. It will showcase its entire range of products, apart from Atlas Copco’s light products, at the outdoor venue along with demos and displays.”

Husqvarna’s DXR Series of remote-operated demolition robots enables safe operations

Several productivity enhancements at Husqvarna happened in 2018. More notably, for the Indian market was the re-introduction of the Husqvarna K4000 Cut-n-Break machine, which enables the small to medium applicator to do larger jobs of cutting up to 400mm deep openings from one side. The K4000 Cut-n-Break machine is a patented machine of Husqvarna and extremely easy and safe to use. We will continue to manufacture products in India and keep adding new products to the local portfolio.

Husqvarna is re-investing considerable amounts into R&D. A prime example of organic developments within Husqvarna is the DXR Series of remote-operated demolition robots, that enable the contractor to work safely in situations/applications which would have been very risky or challenging otherwise.

Company’s focus on Green construction with its Concrete Grinding and Polishing solutions

India is a very strong construc- tion economy with both government and private investments in Infrastructure, Housing and Commercial construction. Husqvarna is particularly eyeing the Green Building concept with its Concrete Grinding and Polishing solutions in which we are a recent global leader on Indian soil. Factories, warehouses, retail contractors, specifiers as well as architects have shown keen interest in these solutions.

Having a manufacturing facility in India (Nasik) is our strongest suit for being a sustainable business partner for all our customers and dealers

We have the flexibility to make custom-made products based on application needs. We regularly innovate new processes for faster product improvements and localization, that is, we manufacture products with global processes to meet local needs.

“Jo Dikhata hai Woh bikta hai,” has been our mantra. Giving demos not only increases trust in the customers but also increases the visibility of our products and most importantly, it gives us a unique insight as to what the customer expects from a product and a brand. The result is pretty clear; we are growing in each and every product, and plan to achieve our mission of 20% growth every year.

With acquisition of Atlas Copco comes a good dealer network across India

In 2019, we will further deepen our business partnerships with these dealers as well as open up new territories for Husqvarna Construction dealerships. This clearly signals good business opportunities for Husqvarna and the dealers.

Husqvarna Construction is launching its ‘UpCare’ services which will give options for end-users to sign up for preventive maintenance schemes and opportunities to minimize downtime. The objective is to keep the machinery/systems up and running.

We are very confident of taking on the coming 3 years. Whilst 2018 was a year with much integration going on in all functions, which has now been completed, we now have a pan-India reach.

Husqvarna

2018 has been a fantastic year for us, primarily due to acquisition of LCC product line of Atlas Copco

The acquisition has given a huge impetus to our strategy of being the first choice of customers. Also, the current boost in the infrastructure segment, plus a positive wave across the industry, is an added advantage. With the current list of projects that have begun or on the verge of beginning, we are extremely positive about the business for the next 5 years. By Q2 2019, Husqvarna will be a well-known brand in the construction industry.
